almost every full professor is a 讲习教授. So the term "讲习教授" is almost the same as full professor.

In my field, most of these professors in Northwestern U are not that good: most are not top 100 in their field; top 500 pretty sure.

Northwestern is clearly below the most elite universities in the U.S. (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, etc.)
