Prof. Xiao Chuango from China in recent years, a new surgical technique in animal models and applies them successfully to the patient. The published surgical technique (. J. Urol 2003 Oct; 170:1237-41) was examined in 15 patients with a mean follow-up of three years. The bladder function returned an average of 12 to 18 months in 67 percent of patients and it was achieved satisfactory bladder function. The residual urine decreased an average of 332 to 31 ml and urinary tract infections and overflow incontinence disappeared. Two of the 15 patients needed an additional electrical skin stimulation.
In the meantime, been provided by Dr. Xiao over 100 patients with this surgical technique, were back in which some of the accidents up to 15 years. 13 patients have been supplied in the U.S. and had a significantly faster recovery of bladder function by six months, with an approximately constant probability of success of 80 percent.
